Goal

Weinberg: a German series on pay TV. TNT Serie wanted to attract attention for its own production, with Weinberg seen as what it is: a high-quality German series in terms of production and content.

Realisation

We created a two-stage online add-on designed to generate greater attention before and especially during the broadcast of the show.

On Facebook, Twitter, and the website for the mystery series, fans were invited to take virtual tours of the village of Kaltenzell and discover letters, recordings and videos left by various characters from the series. The characters in the videos encouraged viewers to get active online on any of the three platforms (website, Facebook, Twitter) and participate in the search for the murderer. With intense live tweeting during the broadcasts, we were also able to generate a high level of organic attention through exclusively online content, especially as the show was on air. We used targeted collaborations with Moviepilot.de, Filmstarts.de, Serienjunkies.de, and Bild.de to reach other target groups and lead them to the series’ online content.
